Kintex Classic Tape 5 cm Black
5 cm x 5 m | Free color choice
Our kinesiology tapes are often used for sports injuries or in physiotherapy. They are used to support and stabilize muscles, fascia, ligaments or Joints.
This application technique is used for general knee pain that cannot be localized but is located in the knee area. You will need four strips of tape in the shape of an I. For this you can either use our Kintex Classic Tape and cut the strips yourself or you can use our Kintex PreCut Tape and tear the tape strips accordingly. When cutting the tape, make sure that you round off the corners, this will increase the durability.
Preparation and application of the Kintex Kinesiology Tape
To ensure better adhesion, you should first remove all oils, creams and hair from the affected area and also clean it with alcohol. Position the knee at about 80°, tear the backing paper in the middle and peel it off. Tape the first tape with maximum tension in a circle around the kneecap - starting on the inside - and make sure that the ends are taped without tension in each case. Repeat this process with a second tape on the opposite outside of the knee, again with maximum traction around the kneecap. Both tapes should run next to the kneecap rather than over it to encircle the kneecap and regulate pain.
Do the same with the third and fourth tapes, slightly overlapping tapes one and three as well as two and four.
Finally, swipe all the tapes on the knee from the inside out to activate the adhesive. Stretch out the knee to check. Waves or small folds of skin should now form on the kneecap, then the system is correctly applied and relief of the knee pain can occur.
