For this tape application you need two tape strips in the shape of a fan. For this you can either use our Kintex Classic Tape and cut the strips yourself or you can use our Kintex PreCut Tape and tear off the tape strips accordingly.

Cut the two strips along the back lines, leaving a block (about 5 cm) as a base without a cut. When cutting, make sure you round the corners, this will increase the adhesion of the tape.

Preparation and application of Kintex Kinesiology Tape

To ensure better adhesion, you should first remove all oils, creams and hair from the affected area and clean it with alcohol. Loosen the backing paper in the area of the base and stick it in the front of the armpit in the area of the upper arm. Now loosen the backing paper of the first rein and glue it in the area of the upper arm in a wavelike manner with slight tension. Proceed in the same way with the following reins. Make sure that the ends of the small reins are glued on without tension. Now remove the backing paper from the second strip of tape and glue the base on slightly above the bend of the elbow. The first small rein is now placed again in waves along the radius of the forearm. Do the same with the other reins. Finally, rub the tape well, as this increases the adhesive strength.
