For this taping technique you need two strips of tape in the shape of an I. For this you can either use our Kintex Classic Tape and cut the strips yourself or you can use our Kintex PreCut Tape and tear the tape strips accordingly.

Measure one tape from the middle of the back of the hand to below the elbow and double the length. Then cut two diamonds exactly in the middle. You will need these to be able to stick the tape over your fingers later. Cut the second tape in a length of about 15 cm. When cutting the tape, make sure that you round off the corners. This will increase the adhesion of the tape.

Preparation and application of Kintex Kinesiology Tape

To ensure better adhesion, you should first remove all oils, creams and hair from the affected area and also clean it with alcohol. Loosen the backing paper of the tape at the cut diamonds, pull them over the middle finger and ring finger and stick the tape in the first part without pulling on the surface of the hand. Now apply the tape along the forearm under light tension and let the ends run out again without tension. Repeat the step with the inside of the forearm. Now take the second I-shaped tape and peel off the backing paper in the middle as well. Apply the tape to the pain point under maximum tension.

Finally, stroke the entire tape from the inside to the outside. This activates the adhesive and increases the adhesion of the tape.

Kintex Tape should be left on for approximately 1 week, with the main effect expected in the first 3-5 days after application. You can shower, bathe, swim or do sports with the tape applied. Even sweating is possible under the tape.
