Kintex Classic Tape 5 cm Blue

Our kinesiology tapes are often used for sports injuries or in physiotherapy. They are used to support and stabilize muscles, fascia, ligaments or Joints.
For this tape application you will need one tape strip in the shape of a Y and three in the shape of an I, two of which should be shorter. Cut the Y-shaped tape about 2/3 of the total length. For this you can either use our Kintex Classic Tape and cut the strips yourself or you can use our Kintex PreCut Tape and tear the tape strips accordingly. When cutting in, make sure you round off the corners, this way the adhesion of the tape will be increased. Cut the Y-shaped tape approximately 2/3 of the total length.
Preparation and application of the Kintex Kinesiology Tape
To ensure better adhesion, you should first remove all oils, creams and hair from the affected area and also clean it with alcohol.
Remove the backing paper of the Y strip at the base, pull the foot closer, stick the base above the heel bone and then smooth out the overhanging tape over the heel. Now loosen the backing paper of the outer strip and tape it along the calf to the back of the knee under traction. Repeat the taping step with the other rein and tape it along the inside of the calf. Now take the second long tape, tear it also at about 1/3 at the base and stick it on the heel under tension. Then apply the upper end of the tape directly over the calf under tension. Then apply one of the shorter tapes directly to the pain point on the Achilles tendon with maximum tension and rub the tape from the inside to the outside. Fix it with the last tape the bottom of the foot.
