Kintex Precut Tape Blue
20 pre-cut tapes (á 25 cm x 5 cm) | free choice of color
Our Kintex PreCut Tape is already pre-cut and can be applied immediately without scissors. The tapes can be applied as I and Y strips.
To create the tape, you need four halved strips of tape in different lengths, as well as three Y strips and two I strips in different lengths. You can either use our Kintex Classic Tape and cut the strips yourself or you can use our Kintex PreCut Tape and tear the tape strips accordingly.
Measure the length of the strips on your patient and make sure that you round off the corners when cutting. This will increase the adhesion of the tape.
Preparation and application of Kintex Kinesiology Tape
To ensure better adhesion, you should first remove all oils, creams and hair from the affected area and clean it with alcohol.
Now start with the two strips cut in half and tilt your head slightly to the side. Apply the tapes supporting the front muscles of the neck. All tapes in the area of the head are applied without pulling. Both strips provide relief for the muscles.
Now apply the other two halved strips from behind the ear along the upper part of the trapezius muscle over the shoulder. The head should also be slightly tilted. Using one of the Y tapes, now tape the first strip from the shoulder almost horizontally towards the spine and the second strip tilting downwards. Repeat both procedures on the other side of the body.
The last Y Tape is now applied in the area of the neck muscles to the left and right of the spine. The head should be tilted forward. Now apply a short I strip to the area of the 7th cervical vertebra and apply the center with traction, but then immediately let up with the traction and then apply both sides without traction.
The illustrated system is an example of a kinesiology tape for migraine. With the variety of triggers for migraine, we recommend you to be treated by a trained therapist.
